Osun SSG, Adeoti, dumps APC

The Secretary to the Government of Osun State, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, has officially dumped his party, All Progressives Congress, APC.

In a letter titled: Resignation of My Membership of All Progressives Congress, APC, and personally signed, Adeoti announced his decision to leave the party.

The letter dated July 21, 2018, was copied the Iwo Local Government APC Chairman and APC Chairman, Osun state.

Though, he did not give reason for his decision, he had during the primary election on Friday expressed dissatisfaction with the purported imposition of the Chief of Staff, Gboyega Oyetola, as the party’s gubernatorial candidate in lieu of other 16 aspirants.

A statement issued and signed by the Director of Media and Publicity of Moshood Adeoti Campaign Organization, Mr Kayode Agbaje and made available to newsmen before the primary election, said Alhaji Adeoti’s decision to withdraw from the race is hinged on his resolve to abide by a resolution of the Osun West Senatorial District wing of the party dissociating itself from the exercise.

“In addition, the frontline governorship aspirant has stated that his withdrawal is based not adding credibility to a skewed and jaundiced process already designed to favour an anointed aspirant.

Alhaji Adeoti however informed his teeming supporters that he is still very much in the race to contest and win the governorship election come September 22, 2018.

However, the resignation letter reads: “with gratitude to the Almighty God, I hereby wish to notify you of my decision to resign my membership of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

“While thanking you and the entire membership of the party for your support while my membership lasted, I wish to reiterate my commitment to the progress of the state in whatever capacity I find myself in the future.
