The Osogbo/Ibukun road has been blocked as students of Osun State University, Osogbo main campus, protest the arrest of several students by security operatives from their various hostels Thursday morning.
Eyewitness reports state that armed security operatives suspected to be operatives of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission stormed some hostels in Oke Baale area of Osogbo around seven in the morning and arrested about 20 students and some non-students living in the area.
The acting Dean of Students Affairs, Mr. Dare Adeyemi, confirmed the arrest of about 15 students of the school by security operatives. He said that the management was making efforts to stop the current protest
