Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) FCT chapter has condoled the family of late Nta Otobong over the death of their son.
Also, Sports Writers in the nation’s capital have commiserated with DAAR Communications – owners of African Independent Television (AIT) and Raypower fm where the broadcaster worked until his demise.
SWAN FCT Chairman Comrade Ndubueze Chidoka who spoke in Abuja at the weekend expressed shock after he heard of the death of the young Sports Journalist who passed, months after sustaining severe injuries from a ghastly auto crash in Abuja.
Comrade Chidoka who is still deeply pained by the untimely incident said, “Up till now, I can’t believe Otobong is no more. He was a vibrant young man, full of life before he was involved in the unfortunate accident.
“After a while, the belief was that he will soon return to his feet, only for us to hear he is no more. No one can question God, only he knows why it has to be now.
“It is my prayer that God will console members of his family and colleagues he has left behind after battling pains for months.
“I also pray that his soul will rest in the Lord. It’s a sad moment for the media industry.”
