Our military bracing up to challenges of national unity – Minister

The Nigeria Armed Forces has risen to the challenges of collective action for national unity and security, Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali has said.
The minister stated this while inaugurating 270 blocks of flat for the personnel of the military at the Mogadishu cantonment, Abuja.
According to him, the military profession is a challenging career that required that personnel are well motivated to perform their duties effectively.
“This will continue as long as it is necessary to ensure that we have the best facilities for our personnel across the country,” he said.
Earlier in his remarks, the Chief of Defence, Gen. Abayomi Olonisakin said the construction of accommodation was part of efforts to improve the welfare of personnel for optimum performance, in line with best global practices.
“It is also to reduce to the barest minimum accommodation challenges that is experienced in the barracks,” he said.
