Owo killings: Rejig your security architecture, Folarin tells religious centres

All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo state, Senator Teslim Folarin, has  tasked religious centers to rejig their security architecture with a view to forestalling attacks by men of the underworld.

The Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District gave the charge in a statement made available to newsmen Tuesday to condemn the recent attack on St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, leaving scores of worshippers dead.

Senator Folarin in the statement emphasised the need for Nigerians to remain vigilant and suspicious movements to security operatives.

The APC governorship candidate said, “Terrorists are not spirits. They live in our midst. We must have zero tolerance for them. The damages they are doing to our country are unimaginable.

“I deplore the heinous attack on St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo – the hometown of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, which left scores of worshippers dead and several others injured. I enjoin Nigerians to remain vigilant and report any suspicious movements to security operatives.

“Terrorists are not spirits. They live in our midst. We must have zero tolerance for them. The damages they are doing to our country are unimaginable”.

Describing those behind the Owo church attack as having  no regard for the sanctity of human life. Senator Folarin said, “Clearly, the perpetrators of the cowardly act have no regard for the sanctity of human life.”
