Oyebode U15 Cup: Excitement as goals rain across centres, quarter-finalists emerge

It has been excitement and goals galore at the match venues of the maiden edition of Prof. Oyebode U15 Competition for boys and girls played across different centres in the state.

total of 60 goals were scored in 21 matches played at the group stages in the boys category. 

After match day three, eight teams including Irepodun- Ifelodun, Efon, Ido-Osi, Oye, Gbonyin, Ado, Ekiti East have qualified for the quater-finals stage scheduled to hold Sunday 9th May, at the designated centres.

An elated Ekiti FA boss, Bayo Olanlege expressed his happiness on the quality of displayed by the impressionable lads during the matches played so far.

“The dream is alive. The mission to grow rich and sustainable ecosystem in Ekiti state is on the right path. 

“The board of Ekiti FA and indeed, Ekiti state community are grateful to the family of Prof. Akin Oyebode for believing in the of Ekiti youths,” Olanlege said.

He went on to reiterate his belief in the of Ekiti football. Adding that well placed individuals and corporate organisations in the state need to support and help sponsor the activities of the FA, particularly, in the areas of and grassroots football , which he described as the bedrock of any meaningful football .
