Oye’s fraudulent congresses responsible for APGA poor outing in 2019-Youth

The youth leadership of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has accused the incumbent national chairman, Mr Victor Ikechukwu Oye, of being a bad omen, saying his fraudulent congresses caused the party the governorship victory of Imo and other states in the south.

Addressing the press in Abuja on Tuesday, the former national youth leader, Ikechukwu Chukwunyere, said Oye had promised to install ten APGA Governors in the federation but that the party’s outing in the 2019 elections was really shameful and disgraceful.

He therefore called on the chairman to abandon his plan to re-contest in the party forthcoming congress.

Chukwunyere, said : “It is also pertinent that Victor Oye accounts for the six hundred and forty million naira realized from the sales of the delegate and nomination forms to our members in Imo State as the State chairman Barr. Peter Ezeobi has accused him. It is on record that despite the high and exorbitant amount of the sales of forms, delegate forms and other unknown fees to our constitution, there were no delegate elections/primaries thus creating distrust, disloyalty, and loss of party members to other parties.

“I want to commend the BOT members, leaders of the Party in South-South, South-East, South-West, North and even Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo Youth for condemning the leadership of Oye and his bid to return through the back-door.

“I want to appeal to the National Leader and chairman of the Board of Trustees of our party, His Excellency Chief Maduaburochukwu Obiano, the Governor of Anambra State to also reject Oye just as other Leaders of the party has done. I also call on members to insist that the National convention must be held in Abuja as this will engender national cohesion in the entire party,” he said.
