Osun state governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, Sunday evening visited flood ravaging areas in Osogbo and promised that the government will take urgent step.
Speaking at Gbodofon along Ibadan road where the flood sacked many homes and businesses, Oyetola urges the residence to vacate the areas and promised that the government will direct immediate dredging of some areas to cushion the effect.
The governor asked those residing in flood-prone areas to take necessary precautions to avoid loss of lives.
He urged the people to avoid dumping refuse on the water assuring that the government will take adequate measure to further dredge the river.
