Oyo guber: Makinde should not be elected to another 4-year tenure – Adelabu

Accord governorship candidate in Oyo in the 2023 general elections, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, has disclosed that Governor Seyi Makinde should be restricted to four years tenure in office.

Chief Adelabu who said this in Ibadan during an interactive session with some journalists in Ibadan stated that another four years of Makinde as governor of the state would be disastrous and anti development.

According to Chief Adelabu, Governor Makinde’s performance in the last three and half years is not the best for state and that having Engr. Makinde as the governor of the state for another four years would cause a major setback to Oyo state.

The Accord party candidate stressed that he is running for the office of the governor in 2023 considering that Makinde’s performance is not satisfactory and that the people of Oyo state have realized that Makinde is not the best for the state.

“His performance till date is not the best for us as a pacesetter state.

Another four years under this government would be disastrous and anti development”, he said

Chief Adelabu added, “that is why we came out together again and say let us give it another trial. So this time, virtually everybody agrees that Seyi is not the best for Oyo state and that he should be restricted to four years”.
