Oyo police assure on adequate security at Sallah

The Oyo state Police Command on Friday assured the people of the state of adequate security in and across the state before, during and after this year’s Eid el-Kabir celebration festivities.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Vivian Ngozi Onadeko, in a statement in by the Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Adewale Osifeso, said necessary security measures had been put in place ahead of this year’s Eid el-Kabir celebration. 

“These deployments would be characterised by increased visibility policing, aggressive stop and search, convoy patrols and intelligence-led surveillance before, during and after the festivities.  

“The Commissioner of Police, Oyo state Police Command, CP Ngozi Onadeko, wishes to inform the general public that adequate security measures have been put in place ahead of the 2021 Eidel-Kabir celebrations and beyond with strategic security deployment spanning the length and breadth of the state,” the statement read in part.
