Oyo: Ritualists behead man, mutilate bodies of 2 others 

Residents of Akinyele local government area of Oyo state are now living in fears following resurgence of suspected ritual killings in the area on Monday with the beheading of a young man.

Two other middle- age men were on the same spot killed by yet to be identified men with parts of their bodies removed by the suspected ritualists.

Sources said the lifeless bodies of the three men were found on the new Ibadan-Oyo Expressway in Akinyele local government area of the state Monday morning.

The three men were reportedly hacked to death by the suspected ritual killers around Office Bus Stop, after World Oil petrol station on the new Ibadan-Oyo Expressway in Akinyele local government.

According to sources, the lifeless bodies of the three men were found by taxi drivers plying the route early in the morning prompting them to raise the alarm over the shocking discovery.

One of the commercial drivers plying the route, Abdulfatai AbdulGaniyu, said he saw the lifeless bodies of the three young men  in the morning while carrying passengers from Ojoo to Toose.

AbdulGaniyu said, “The case looks like ritual killing because one of them was beheaded.”

Oyo state Police command Public Relations Officer, SP Adewale Osifeso, when contacted,  said ” investigation is ongoing, Updates would be provided accordingly.”
