The Senate Monday came hard on one Engineer Kailani Muhammad who claimed to be the director , Media and Publicity of the Muhammadu Buhari 2019 Presidential Campaign Committee for alleging that federal lawmakers hoarded palliatives given to them for distribution during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a strong worded statement by the Senate’s spokesperson , Senator Ajibola Basiru ( APC Osun Central) , the upper legislative chamber said no federal lawmaker was given palliatives materials for distribution let alone , hoarding them.
It described the allegation as baseless, unfounded and barefaced falsehood.
The statement reads in part : ” The attention of the Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs , has been drawn to a publication credited to the director, Media and Publicity of the Muhammadu Buhari 2019 Presidential Campaign Committee, Kailani Muhammad alleging hoarding of palliatives meant for distribution to Nigerians by lawmakers in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
