PDP chair: Experience my edge over others – George

Former National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Bode George, has said that his 10 years experience at the PDP national secretariat makes him the most qualified of the aspirants for the position of chairman of the party.
Speaking in Kaduna when he visited the PDP North West zonal office over the weekend, Chief George promised to lead the party to victory in the 2019 general elections by bringing his experience and deep knowledge of party intricacies to bear.
The chairmanship aspirant said he would not need to learn the ropes of chairmanship position if elected having served the party for 10 unbroken years as national vice chairman as well as deputy national chairman, south.
“It is not just about me, I didn’t make the constitution, but let us respect the laws and the constitution of the founding fathers gave to this party. If we follow those laws, we will have no problem.
“If the Almighty God gives me the privilege to run this party, we will get to 2019. This is the party that I was once the national vice chairman, deputy national chairman, south. I spent 10 unbroken years at the national secretariat of the party.
“From day one, I am not going to be learning the ropes of chairmanship. I know what to do because I had been there before. I will enact the issues the way the founding fathers handled them.”
Speaking during a courtesy call on the National Caretaker Committee Chairman of the party, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, the retired military officer commended his host, while recalling the roles Makarfi played to unite South West PDP at the Jos convention during Chief Olusegun Obasanjo era.
This was just as Makarfi promised transparency at the forthcoming convention of the party.
Chief George was accompanied by former national vice chairmen, Southwest; Alhaji Tajudeen Oladipo, and Chief Ishola Filani, former chairman of the party in Ogun state, Chief Joju Fadairo and Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe.
