PDP chieftain hails Kano CP

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano Alhaji Mohammed Abdullahi Sugar has singled out Kano state Commissioner of Police Mohammed Wakil as the hero of this year’s general elections on account of his highly professional conduct devoid of bias for or against candidates of any political parties.

Sugar in a statement issued in Abuja on Monday, said the police commissioner should be singled out for commendation by the acting Inspector General of Police Mohammad Adamu.

He said the civil and professional ways the police commissioner conducted himself provided the opportunity for the opposition to have the ways in Kano state.

“Since he was deployed to the state, the police commissioner has changed policing in the state. Despite the size of the state, he was able to secure the state.

“His conduct, especially during the just concluded governorship and state assembly, deserve commendation,” he said.

He urged other police officers in the country to emulate Wakil, saying their duty was not to protect the government of the day but to work in the interest of the country.

He, however, said that the outcome of the governorship election, has shown that Atiku performed far better than votes credited to him in the presidential election two weeks ago.

“Atiku was voted in Kano and many other states of the country. He won the election, the outcome was rigged for Buhari, but we are hopeful, his stolen mandate would be retrieved through the court,” he said.
