PDP chieftain lauds Jonathan’s transformation agenda

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Edo state, Mr. John Okhiria, has commended President Goodluck Jonathan for his transformation agenda, just as he described former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar as “a non-progressive politician” who jumped from one political party to the other.

Okhiria also commended the Minister for Works, Mr. Mike Onolemhenmen, for his performance, saying that he had proved his worth in the government.

He said: “Since President Jonathan came on board, there is infrastructure development in the country, electricity has improved, talk of foreign investment, he has succeeded in encouraging foreign investors.
You will not be surprised that by April, Nissan will be producing made in Nigeria vehicle.”

On Atiku’s defection to the APC, he said: “Some people are saying that APC is progressive. This beats my imagination, how could they say that they are progressive, who is progressive in the APC? And why are they filling their party with PDP members who they say is conservative?

“If Atiku, who was a PDP member and vice-president under Obasanjo and is being lured into the APC, and Obasanjo is also being lured, does that make APC progressive? You are luring PDP governors to your party, you are not progressive. What it means is that you are only making noise and looking for the presidency by all means.”
He described those playing the politics of do or die as enemy of the people “who do not have the fear of God in their mind and they don’t have anything to deliver.”
