PDP crisis: We’re still available for reconciliation – G-5 govs 

The five governors of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and other chieftains of the party opposed to Dr. Iyorchia Ayu as the national chairman met in Lagos on Sunday saying they were still open to reconciliation.

While announcing the purpose of their meeting, Oyo state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, said they were in Lagos to deliberate on moving the party forward, and to take decisions on the forthcoming general elections.

Briefing the press after a two hour-thirty minutes meeting, former governor of Plateau state, Senatr Jonah Jang said the governors reiterated their earlier position that they are still open to reconciliation.

“After a careful review of development at this meeting, we have  decided to stand by  the decision we took at our Port Harcourt  meetingand we hereby reiterate that the window for reconciliation in our great party remains open.”

Those present at the meeting included the governor of Oyo state, Engr. Seyi Makinde; Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike; Abia state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu; governor of Benue state, Samuel Ortom; Enugu state governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Senator Olaka Nwogu, Senator MAO Ohuanbuwa, Hon.  N. Ikeje, Senator Nasif Suleiman,Senator Sandy Onor, Malam B. Adok,; Olusegun Mimiko, Ayo Fayos,; Donald Duke, and  George.

Others were the Deputy National Chairman (South), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja; National Vice Chairman (South – South), Chief Dan Orbih; former governor of Plateau state, Senator Jonah; and former PDP gubernatorial aspirant in Osun state, Omoba Dotun Babayemi.
