PDP governorship candidate promises to set up mini river port in Nasarawa community

The governorship candidate of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa state Hon. David Ombugadu has assured the people of Toto Local Government Area (LGA) that if elected in 2023, he would work hard to set up a mini river port in the area.

He stated this at the inaugural rally held at Toto LGA on Tuesday.

He said the setting up of the port in Umaisha would help accelerate development in the area as well as ease transportation of goods to the state from neighbouring states, just as it would increase generation of internally generated revenue.

He said it would also reduce restiveness in the area.

“I will also ensure that different industries are set up so that our youths are duly engaged and youth restiveness is reduce,” he said.

Also speaking, chairman of PDP in the state, Mr Francis Orogu, assured the people of Toto that if elected to power, the PDP administration within two years, will fix the porous road network between Nasarawa local government and Toto.

He called on them to vote massively for PDP candidates at the 2023 general elections.
