The Ifeanyi Odii campaign group Tuesday jubilated over the emergence of its line-up for the National Assembly candidates in Ebonyi state being shortlisted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the 2023 general elections.
Director of Media and Publicity, Anyi Chuks Campaign Organizstion, Mr. Abia Onyike, stated this in a press statement issued in Abakaliki.
The Federal High Court, Abakaliki, had upheld the primaries of May 28th and 29th, against that of April 4th and 5th of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi state.
The statement reads: “The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) has published the names of Ebonyi state PDP candidates for the 2023 general elections.
“The successful candidates are from the line-up of the PDP governorship candidate in Ebonyi state, Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, who emerged with them from the PDP primaries conducted on the 28th and 29th of May, 2022.
“Their primary election was the one monitored by INEC and was adopted by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP as the authentic PDP primary election in Ebonyi state.
“The Federal High Court had nullified the factional primary election of 4th and 5th June 2022 organised by Sen. Obinna Ogba, which INEC did not monitor.”
