The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has joined millions of Nigerians in giving thanks to Almighty Allah for his benevolence to the former acting National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje as he attains this milestone of 70 years.
PDP in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Olgbondiyan, Wednesday also commended a former governor of Lagos and Osun states, and former National Secretary of the party, Chief Olagunsoye Oyinlola, as he attains the milestone age of 70 years.
The statement partly read: “Our party rejoices with Alhaji Baraje, noting that his contributions to our dear fatherland confirm his sense of patriotism as a quintessential democrat and a courageous statesman.
“The PDP earnestly prays the Almighty Allah to continue to keep him and grant him many more years in good health.
“The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Over the years, you have demonstrated an uncommon commitment in the service of our dear fatherland and humanity at large. As a soldier, state governor and party leader, you have firmly established that the essence of statesmanship is in pursuing the good and welfare of others rather than self.
“Our party therefore prays to God to grant you many more years in good health and active service to our dear nation.”
