PDP has crippled Nigeria – Okorocha

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has taken a swipe at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), saying  it was a party of clueless fellows who lacked vision and ideas to better the lot of Nigerians and has, therefore crippled the country.
He made this statement yesterday while addressing a cross-section of All Progressives Congress national delegates at M & M event centre, beside Nicon Hotel in Abuja during an interactive session.

The APC presidential aspirant said PDP has no grace to deliver Nigeria from its State of comatose given the opportunity it has had for over fifteen years.

“Time is no issue here because another one hundred years to PDP will result to failure,” he said.
He decried the way privatisation of the power sector was bungled following its sale to cronies and partners who have no the wherewithal to save the sector, the action of the PDP government worsened, which has worsened the state of the sector as the so investors keep relying on the would-be-investors to come to their rescue. He however told his listeners that he will restore the power sector, agriculture and industrial sectors if given the opportunity.

On his intention to become the next president, he told them of his will, vision and passion to bring to bear the necessary change. He said he has all it takes coast home with victory if he emerges APC presidential candidate.
He added that the issue whether the time was ripe for him to become the President but there was the need for to become the President urging the delegate to vote without sentiment so as to save Nigeria from an avoidable calamity by allowing PDP another distasteful turn in the governance of Nigeria.

In response, the delegates spoke through Chairmen, zonal leaders among others; Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Bello, former Speaker of Kogi sHouse of Assembly and former acting Governor of Kogi State, The Youth leader of North Central, Hon. K. Tarver and the Women leader of North Central, Hajiya Hassan Nyelong.
