PDP Jigawa rally a sham – APC chieftain

A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (), Alhaji Sani Yusuf Babura, has described the rally conducted by the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Dutse as a sham, stating that the party’s hope of voting the was a mirage.
The chieftain, who is also the executive secretary, Jigawa state Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), was reacting to the statement credited to the PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, predicting that President Muhammad Buahari, will be voted out in 2019.
Alhaji Yusuf said the trauma, which PDP put Nigerians was still fresh in their memory, as are unemployment, abject poverty, epileptic power supply, general insecurity that ruined the nation’s economy during its 16 years rein.
He described the PDP as a dead party in Jigawa State stressing that Nigerians are through the PDP because it promotes corruption, bribery and all forms of financial crimes in the country.
He said Nigerian masses are with Buhari because of his excellent performances especially in the areas of security, economic , and job creations, maintenance of law and order and fighting against corruption in all its ramifications.
The chieftain said the rousing reception given Buhari in his recent visits to Adamawa, Taraba, Plateau and Benue states was great testimony that the Nigerian electorate will always rally behind him and willing vote for come 2019 general elections.
“Let me make it categorically clear that the last Monday’s rally held in Dutse, the Jigawa state capital was nothing but a fluke because we saw the rented crowd masterminded by ex-Governor Sule Lamido, who is battling with court cases and trying to deceive his followers that he is contesting for the office of the president of Nigeria”, he said.
According to him, since the old Kano state Sule has failed in so many elections in Kano and Jigawa States, respectively adding that were it not with support of former governor of Jigawa state, Senator Ibrahim Saminu Turaki, Lamido could not have won the 2007 .
Alhaji Babura said no amount of opposition from Lamido or the PDP would deter the government of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar from continuing to serve their electorate better.
