PDP protesters are coup plotters-Uzodinma

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state has described members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who Monday trooped out in various states of the federation to protest the Supreme Court ruling that sacked Emeka Ihedioha as governor of Imo state and brought him in, as coup plotters.

He said they are plotting to overthrow the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Uzodinma stated this while welcoming thousands of All Progressives Congress (APC) members who were on solidarity Match to Imo state Government House in support of the governor’s victory at the apex court last week

The governor advised the federal government to go and fish out those behind the PDP protests and bring them to book, adding that the unity of the country was sacrosanct and that everybody should join hands and support the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.

While hailing the Supreme Court judgment which gave him victory, Uzodinma recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)  in the state could not announce some of his results during collation at the  last governorship election, which made him go to the tribunal and later the Appeal Court to get justice. But when he could not get justice, he went to the Supreme Court where he was given justice by a 7 -man panel who in their wisdom decided to  give him victory after looking into the case and found out the injustice meted out to him. He added that the victory was made possible by God and that the very God that gave him victory would also sustain him.
