PDP return: Dariye, Tallen must obey rules – Dabo

Plateau state deputy chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Raymond Dabo, has reiterated decamped members of the party who wanted to return must follow and fulfil laid down rules and procedures before they could be re-admitted.
Reacting to speculations that former governor, Senator Joshua Dariye, and former deputy governor, Dame Pauline Tallen, and others returning to the PDP would be received in a colourful ceremony in the state capital sometime this week, Dabo said the state secretariat was not in receipt of any correspondence from any quarters to that effect.

According to him, in as much as the prospect exists for former members to return to the party, including former governor and former deputy governor, Joshua Dariye and Pauline Tallen, respectively, such intending returnees must duly begin the process from their various wards for onward correspondence with the state secretariat.
Part of the questions such returnees must answer, he said, included stating why he or she left, and reasons for wanting to return to the party.

Dabo dismissed the issue of receiving such returnees at a special ceremony, saying that that the departed the party shrewdly and never had the patience and conscience to formally inform the party of their relocation.
He said even if they were readmitted into the party, holding a ceremony to mark it was not conceivable “for now.”
