PDP tasks members on voter registration

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Bauchi State Chapter has urged members and its supporters to come forward and register to enable them vote out the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) at the forthcoming general election in 2019.
The party state chairman, Alhaji Hamza Akoshe Akuyam, who gave this charge in Bauchi yesterday, reminded them that without their PVCs it would be impossible to vote out the oppressive APC government.
“We embarked on visits to local government areas including Ningi , Warji and Kafin Madaki to sensitize our supporters especially people that were born at the time the PDP started ruling the country in 1999 and are today eligible to vote to advise them to register and obtain their voters’ card.
Akuyam said those that have problems with their voters’ card, those that migrated from one place to another, were sensitized on the importance of registration ahead of the general elections.
“You must register, collect your voter card to have the right to vote during elections, even if you have a candidate of your choice at heart the only thing that you would do to show your love is to vote for the person but you can’t vote without voter’s card”.
He reiterated the commitment of the party to reopen all its offices in the 20 local government areas as part of preparation to take over power from the APC in 2019.
Deputy National Chairman of PDP, Senator Babayo Gamawa, said the abduction of 110 girls at a school in Dapchi, Yobe State, confirmed the ruling APC’s “nonchalant attitude in the fight against insurgency in the North East.
He also alleged that the APC administration had failed to fulfil any of the campaign promises it made to Nigerians before the 2015 election, noting that the APC has been in the habit of giving fake promises to deceive Nigerians.
Gamawa said the APC lacks initiative stressing that even the real fight against corrupt practices was done by the PDP, because the PDP created all the agencies that are fighting corruption like EFCC, ICPC and Court of Conduct.
The party claimed that the only change that the APC has brought is untold hardship to Nigerians, adding that people were more comfortable during the PDP-led administration than today where they are faced with untold hardships hunger and poverty.
