A House of Representative member representing Ezza North /Ishielu federal Constituency of Ebonyi state Anayo Nwonu has said Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would produce the Speaker of the 9th Assembly.
Mr Nwonu stated this while addressing journalists in his polling unit, Ekka 001 shortly after casting his vote during the re run for the state Assembly election in his constituency on Saturday.
He said was optimistic that the party would regain its lost seats in the National Assembly.
He said: “National politics and legislative politics is quite different, being a second term law maker I know that our minority number will not really affect any legislative processes in the green chambers. For now we are already shopping for who will become the next speaker and I know Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would decide who will be the speaker of the 9th Assembly .
“In fact let me tell you, immediately we sworn in , PDP will definitely gain back their number”.
