Peter Cech moves to ice hockey

Peter Cech will be a netminder for Guildford Phoenix on his Ice Hockey debut on Sunday, months after dropping the baton of his football career.

Cech, a former Chelsea and Arsenal Goalkeeper made the shock switch after retiring at the end of the 2018/2019 English Premier League as a professional footballer.

During his lengthy career in the EPL spanning 15 years, Cech kept a total of 202 clean sheets.

The 37-year-old is currently a technical and performance advisor assisting Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge and will combine his job at Chelsea with his newfound love, Ice Hockey.
