Following her philanthropic acts through countless support to less privileged persons as well as her empowerment programmes for women, the United Business Women Association (UBWA) of Nigeria and Diaspora will present an Ambassadorial Award of Excellence to Hajia Dr Zainab Jamil Isiaku Gwamna on April 24, 2021.
Dr Zainab, who is the Executive Chairlady, Family Trust and Care Foundation, a non-governmental organisation aimed at supporting the less privileged in society as well as carrying out empowerment programmes, will be receiving the UBWA award amongst other recipients.
A press statement by the media aide to Dr Gwamna, Ibrahim Sani, said Zainab’s kind gestures have benefitted several children while empowering many women economically to ensure that their vulnerability to poverty was drastically reduced. This has attracted for her several awards and earned her the present UBWA recognition.
Her philanthropic activities cover different sectors of human endeavours particularly education for children, supports to women groups to empower the women folks to contribute to the welfare of their households.
She is also a mentor to many young minds, promoting girl-child education, while ensuring that girls are given the right platforms to escape the many challenges that prevent them from achieving greatness.
