The Creative Director of Precious Moment Photography , Precious Anslem, has said pictures can be used to renew hope for change and a better Nigeria.
Anslem during his first solo photography exhibition in Abuja, themed; “Dreams and Echoes,” said pictures are also used to showcase the realities on ground through and to advocate for a new Nigeria where we can dare to dream again.
According to him, the pictures on the exhibition are from “The circle of life” collection and it is a larger collection that helps us to appreciate and understand life as it is and also helps us to know what are those realities.
He said the realities include insecurity, hunger, poverty, inflation, poor quality education etc adding that these are realities we can all relate to in respective of our religion or ethnicity.
In his words “Our leaders have lied to us over the years separating us with religious and ethnicity. Nigeria is our home, the only place we have ever known.
“We want to serve our fatherland with love and strength and faith but we are sometimes hindered by the abortion of our dreams. We sit on the sidelines and watch as our dreams gradually become an echo, leading some to run away to other climes where they can dream again, another to crime, while the many who remain struggle to find a meaning and purpose in life, as it has become.
“As we pledge to Nigeria our country to be faithful, loyal and honest. We owe it to her to keep it,” he said.
