Executive secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Rev. Tor Uja, has called on management and staff of the Commission to take responsibility of the Commission.
He gave the change in Abuja at his maiden meeting with staff since assumption of duty as the executive secretary.
Uja said “I want you to take responsibility of NCPC like an image maker,” and charged the staff to seek to please the Lord in all they did in order to move the Commission forward.

He advised them to embrace truth because as Christians truth cannot be negotiated, saying “I will like to mould us all into an army of truth.”
Uja further affirmed that the Commission was the greatest tool of outreach to the Church and that pilgrimage should present Nigeria very well to the outside world.
The NCPC boss explained that the spiritual content of pilgrimage had increased and the organisation level of pilgrimage had also been elevated.

He commended his predecessor for the good work he did in NCPC and urged the staff to look ahead for better things to come.
He stressed his readiness to organise a family night for all the staff and their families because he believed in upholding family values, explaining that such forum would enable him to interact with the staff and families personally.

Uja also hinted that the Commission would organise a befitting send forth for his predecessor to appreciate him for his contribution to the growth of pilgrimage in Nigeria.
He promised to partner with the church and corporate bodies to support the cause of pilgrimage and assured the staff that his administration would develop a policy guide line that would ensure that staffers were rewarded.
