Pilgrimage: NCPC sends Cross River, Ondo, Ebonyi pilgrims to Israel, Jordan

The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) has airlifted over 300 Intending Christian Pilgrims from Cross River, Ondo, and Ebonyi States from the Victor Attah International Airport, Akwa Ibom State to Israel and Jordan.

The Executive Secretary of the Commission, Rev. Yakubu Pam, who addressed the intending pilgrims at the  International Airport, Friday, expressed delight over the good turnout of pilgrims for the Pilgrimage.

He thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for creating the enabling environment for NCPC to exercise the power given to the Commission through the act that established it by taking the country’s pilgrims to the Holy Lands around the world.

Rev. Pam, equally, commended the governors in South-South for supporting a great number of pilgrims to embark on the journey to the Holy Lands, stressing that it was a moment for the pilgrims to pray for the nation.

“It is my singular joy and happiness to stand here in the very heart of this airport to appreciate the distinguished states particularly Cross River who put a reasonable number of intending Pilgrims that are traveling out.

“I’m also here to appreciate the governors of the south-south, at this time around it is my singular honour to announce to the whole world that what I have seen, the numbers of states that have paid for pilgrims to travel from the south-south, I am proud of the south-south as a zone.

“The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission has been given the power to exploit various areas at geographical biblical places in the Bible for Nigerian Christians to witness what they have been reading in the Bible physically.

“I believe this is nothing to regret but rather to say that God is using our governors to advance the gospel of the kingdom.

“We all are aware that this is a critical moment for our country, it is not about the Christians but about the survival and continuity of Nigeria as a sovereign country at this moment that we are going into the election.

“This is the moment we need to go and pray, the moment we need to go knock for heavens,  and the moment we need to tell God that this country will never be down rather this election will make this country prove the time to rise to make our children and next generation to believe in us.

“We will continue to do our normal duty by making sure that pilgrims move from now up to when the election will take place and the purpose of it all more is praying for the country,” he said.

He charged the pilgrims to consider the journey as purely spiritual so that they will go there and pray for the unity of the country.

He admonished the intending pilgrims to be good Ambassadors of Nigeria and conduct themselves decently while on the Pilgrimage.

Rev. Raphael Agbola, one of the pilgrims from Ondo State stated that he expects to pray for the betterment of the nation.

He charged Nigerians to lead a good life and put their trust in God and follow His commandments to achieve great results.
