Plateau tasks Qur’anic school owners on partnership for intervention


The Plateau state commissioner of secondary education, Hon. Elizabirth Wapmuk, has urged owners of Isalimc and Qur’anic schools, to partner with the state government for proper access to intervention and supports.


Hon. Wapmuk, made the call at openig event of the 34th edition of Musabaqah Foundation for Qur’anic Recitation Competition in Nigeria (MFQRN) Plateau State chapter, Saturday, in Jos.


She said it is a source of joy that historical records have it that Plateau State is among the best in Nigeria and the world.


She said: “The State is known for its strides of either coming 1st at both National and international competition of the Qur’anic recitation and all we are so proud of that.”


Represented by a deputy director in the ministry, Ibrahim Haruna Kurgwe, Hon. Wapmuk said the compettion and coordination of Islamic and Qur’anic schools will not succeed without proper organisation.


She urged that such schools should ensure that they properly; “registered with the ministry so that it will further ease the ways of accessing suooorst and intervention.”


The quest speaker, Shiekh Muhammad Umar, hasadmonishment Nigerians to constantly, appreciates Allah, for His protection and all benevolence upon to them.

Shiekh Umar, a lecturer at the college of legal and Islamic studies, Misau Bauchi State, said: “We should always be contented with what we have lawfully gotten, let us be appreciative of Allah’s benevolence. 


“If you want good things supplicates to Allah, and follow it up with hardwork, but do not relent on recitating the Qur’an at all times. 


“Hold onto the book of Allah, for guidance and solutions to human livings, as the Prophet Muhammad ScvhAW, says.”


He admonished scholars to teach the true virtues of the Qur’an, stressing that any one that mislead people will surely enjoins hardship both in this world and hereafter. 


The chief imam of Sultan Bello Mosque, Shiekh Muhammad Suleiman, called on well meaning as well as, well to do individuals to; “provide sustainable supports to the organisers of the competition.”


Sheikh Suleiman, who is the chairman of the event, while tasking the organisers on the need to divers means of sourcing funds for the sustainability of the completion, he further called on Plateau state and 17 Local Government Councils to also support the course.
