Plateau state Governor, Simon Lalong, has re-assured the private sector of his administration’s continues provision of conducive business environment
The governor gave the assurance yesterday while declaring open the state’s trade fair themed “Sustaining the Promotion of Entrepreneurship through MSMS’ for Economic Development,” holding at Polo Field in Jos, the state capital
Represented by his deputy, Prof Sunny Tyoden, the governor said: “As a government, we are poised to provide conducive environment for businesses to thrive in all economic sectors of the state
We have in our efforts to open up the solid mineral sector as signed MoU with Chinese investors for mining activities in the state
” Lalong said the state government had also signed MoUs for the construction of the burnt Jos Main Market, as well as the moribund Jos International Breweries
According to him, the successful staging of two trade fairs in a row is also an open attestation of the progressive partnership government is enjoying with the private sector
Blueprint reports that the Fair being organised in collaboration with the Plateau Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PLACCIMA), and ANISTA, marketing and events limited, has more than 500 trade exhibitions so far which have registered to participate in it
