Police arrest 4 for disturbing public peace in Taraba

Taraba state Police Command Sunday said it has arrested four persons for disturbance of public peace in the state.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP David Misal, who confirmed the arrest to Blueprint on phone, said the command would not take it lightly with any individual or group whose plan is to disrupt the peace of the state.

“There was tension in Angwa-Kasa area of Jalingo yesterday.

“Two houses were razed down in the process, but we thank God we were able to bring the situation under control,” he said.

He explained that the Police will not condone lawlessness and disruption of public peace.

He said the command would apply the full wrath of the law on those whose intention is to foment troubles across the state.

He tasked sons and daughters of the state to be vigilant during and after the elections.
