Lagos state police command said the killer of a couple, Engineer Femi Egbeoluwa and his wife have been arrested in Allen Avenue area in Lagos.
According to Police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundenyin, the arrest was based on intelligence.
He explained that the operatives arrested one Wale Adeyemo, 37 and Kingsley Chibueze, 26 for the ghastly murder of an elderly couple in their home on the March 19, 2023.
“Investigation revealed that Wale, who was formerly an employee of the couple, requested to be paid off and was obliged sometime in February during the cash crunch to recruit Kingsley to aid his plans of robbing the victims.
“The robbery then led to the gruesome murder of the couple and vicious attack of the housemaid while the suspects went away with an unaccounted sum of money in Dollars and Naira with two Samsung smart phones.
“You will recall that the police in Lagos had earlier begun an investigation into the assassination of the couple, Engineer Femi Egbeoluwa and his wife in the Allen Avenue area of the state,” he said.
