Osun State Police Command Wednesday said an 18-year-old man, Salisu Sulaiman, has been arrested in connection with the attempt kidnap in Koka village, Ibokun.
A statement by the Police Public Relation Officer, SP Yemisi Opalola, disclosed that the suspect was arrested about 12:15am on Tuesday.
According to Opalola, the suspect came from Idofihan in Kwara state.
Some suspected Fulani herdsmen were Monday stormed Koka village, Ibokun, with an apparent attempt to kidnap some inhabitants of the village.
Some villagers and hunters faced the suspects and engaged them in gun duel and foiled the attempt.
Opalola said the suspect has been handed over to the state criminal investigative department, noting that efforts are in top gears to arrest other fleeing suspects.
