The FCT Police command, yesterday announced diversion of traffic in some parts of Abuja, in preparation for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) national convention today at the Eagle Square.
A press statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the command, DSP Anjuguri Manzah, stated: “The FCT Police Command wishes to inform members of the public that sequel to the national convention of the APC slated for Saturday, June 23, 2018, there will be diversion of vehicular movement on routes leading to Eagle Square, venue of the convention.
“As a result of the influx of people for the convention, FCT residents are advised to use alternative routes as vehicular movement to roads connecting to Eagle Square will be diverted as from 12 midnight on June 22.”
He said the command was calling on members of the public to cooperate with the Police and all security agencies deployed for the convention.
