Police move to decongest Dutse market traffic

Traders in Dutse have commended the efforts of men and officers attached to Dutse Divisional Police for carrying out operation to decongest traffic snarl along the market.

They made the commendation while paying a courtesy call on the newly appointed Divisional Police Officer (DPO), SP Abdullahi Hussain.

A leader of the group, Alhaji Ramalan Baba, said they were at the police station to state their determination to work closely with the police to ensure protection of lives and property in and around the market area.

He encouraged the DPO to keep on doing the good work he started in the area of management of crime, noting that the presence of the police in the market had brought a sigh of relief not only to motorists but traders.

On his part, the DPO reiterated commitment to complement their efforts with a view to promote community policing in Dutse and environs.

He tasked them to cultivate the culture of providing useful information to security agents to enable the police tackle crime in the bud.
