Police nab pastor for anointing house wife’s private parts

A resident pastor of Assemblies of God church in Ogwa, Esan South East local government area of Edo state is currently cooling his feet at the state police command for allegedly using anointing oil on the private part of a pregnant woman.

Spokesman for the State police command, SP. Bello Kotongs, confirmed the development but did not give further details.

The clergy who was identified as Josi reportedly anointed the woman (name withheld) in the church premises “for safe delivery”.

Blueprint gathered that trouble however, started after reported complications in the woman’s pregnancy to the effect that the conception had exceeded 10 months.

The house wife was said to have confided the “spiritual exercise” with Pastor Josi on his husband- a development that angered the later.

It was gathered that the woman’s husband thereafter reported the matter to the police.

Pastor Josi who confirmed his encounter with the married woman however, said he was not responsible for complications in the pregnancy.

According to him, “some people brought the woman to me and she told me her problem. I told her I will anoint her private part and breast because her problem is spiritual.

“And after the anointing, I laid  my hand on both parts of her body and prayed. The woman did not remove her pant and bra, I only shifted the underwear and the bra.”

On whether the “spiritual exercise” is biblical,  the clergy was said to have referred interrogators to Mark 6: 13 and James 5:16 in the Bible.
