Police parade 4 rape suspects in Kogi

Kogi state Police Command yesterday paraded four persons for allegedly raping an 18-year-old secondary student.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Seidu Madawaki, who disclosed this to newsmen while parading the ‘rapists’ and 12 robbery suspects, said one Ezena Ginika of No 11 Mission Street, Ankpa, reported at Ankpa Police Station that while she was returning from an errand, five accosted her, hit her with charm ring and abducted to unknown location in the bush.

Makadawaki said two of the suspected rapists collected the girl’s handset and three out of the five suspected rapists raped the girl, stressing that two others were taking the video and pictures of illicit act with a phone camera, scan and subsequently posted on the internet.

Others paraded were Isah Mustapha, Idoko Adamu, Adamu Ojodale Ebiloma, Ayegbe Achor and Yunusa Musa, Shaibu Jimoh, Abdulrasheed Ganiyu and others for criminal conspiracy and armed robbery.

Speaking with newsmen, Bala Musa one of the rapists admitted that they raped the girl after collecting her handset.
He also confessed that they took pictures with his handset, but did not post to internet nor print them.
