Police rescue kidnapped banker, palm wine tapper in Ibadan

Men of the Oyo have rescued the staff of Polaris Bank, Babatunde Dauda, and a palm wine tapper identified as Oluwaseun Oluokun.

It was reliably gathered that the banker and palm wine tapper were kidnapped by some Monday.

Dauda and Oluokun, according to sources, are among the five people kidnapped by some numbering about seven with sophisticated rifles along the Ibadan-Ijebu Ode road in Ibadan.

Sources said the persons were rescued by combined team of the operatives of Anti- Squad, local vigilantes and hunters, Agbekoya and Amotekun corps,

The operatives were said to have combed the forest for the kidnappers and their and they were able to the (the Polaris Bank staff and the palm wine tapper) at Ogunmakin area, Tuesday.

Sources said the were rescued without paying ransom. But they were reportedly beaten to pulp by the .
