Police seek religious leaders’ cooperation against crime in Utako

 

Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in-charge of Utako in Abuja Muiucipal Area Council (AMAC), CSP Jimoh Gbenle, has urged religious leaders to team up with the police to nib crimes in the bud.
He made the call recently in a chat with our correspondent while tasking both religious and community leaders to play significant roles to assist security agencies with vital information.
Gbenle said the Division had deployed officers to strategic locations to prevent any breach of the peace, adding that the Division, under his watch, had not recorded any major crime.
He warned residents against taking laws into their hands, urging aggrieved individuals to always channel their complaints to appropriate authorities for necessary action.
