Police smash 20 notorious kidnappers in Delta

Delta state Police Command has smashed 20 notorious kidnappers suspected to have been terrorising the state capital and its environs.
The suspected kidnappers were arrested by the men of the command in separate kidnap operations in the state.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Zannah, who stated this in Asaba said Mrs. Martina Waka of Ekete New Layout, off Ovwian police station and Okoiruele Abimbola, 37 years, of Dopa Housing Estate, Warri, were kidnapped by unknown armed gang at various places within Warri.
Zannah said while acting on the available intelligence, operatives of Eagle Net Special Squad, arrested one Bullus Omobare alias “Omonas” who also indicted Daniel Akare, alias “Ogbolor”. The arrest of the two suspects put pressure on their cohorts to release the victims unhurt without payment of ransom.
The suspected kidnappers include, Bullus Omobare, 35, of Ukon quarters, Ukuama town in Ughelli, Daniel Akare, 37, of Ewu town in Warri, Adeyemi Adesida Samuel a.k.a “Tony”, 21, of Umuadefe quarters, Ibusa and Happy Eze, 17, of Umuadefe quarters, Ibusa among others.
The Police boss said one Mr. Kingsley Njoku, 35, of Ezalo-Owerri village in Ihiala-Mbano L.G.A, Imo state, was kidnapped, saying while acting on a tip off, the two suspects were arrested by a team of policemen attached to Ibusa Division and Ibusa vigilante.
He said that the suspects belonged to a kidnap syndicate that invite their unsuspecting victims via social network, saying in response to an invitation by one of the suspects, Adeyemi Adesida, whose face-book name is ‘Tony”, the victim came to Asaba from Owerri to see him.
However, he said on getting to a point at Ibusa as he was directed, the victim was attacked by the two suspects who dragged him into the bush and called his relatives on phone, demanding for a ransom of N200, 000 while the victim was also robbed by the suspects of some valuables.
