Police tackling road robbery in Suleja – motorists

Motorists plying Suleja/Lambata and Zuba-FCT/Tafa roads have expressed satisfactions over the security measures put in place in Suleja local government, a neighbouring town with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with a view to check robbery activities in the area.

Some motorists revealed that the robbery incidents along the two major roads had reduced drastically. They said the act was as a result of constant patrol embarked upon by patrol officers under Suleja police area command.

A member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, (NURTW) Comrade Patrick Jonathan said members of the union, using the roads were now heaving a sigh of relief transporting passengers without fear of the menace of robbers.

Jonathan applauded the area commander in charge of Suleja, ACP Isah Rambo for showing exemplary leadership for the DPOs under Suleja command.

Also contributing, a resident, Alhaji Haruna Dauda said the police equally tackled cultism at Gauraka, a suburb in Tafa local government of the state.

He said residents of Suleja and environs at present have been enjoying relative peace following constant police patrol to curb crime, especially in criminal hide outs in the area.

Dauda encouraged police to sustain the fight against kidnapping and drug related offences aimed at reducing crime to the barest minimum.
