The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in-charge of Gwagwalada Division, CSP David Kolo has given indication that the division would soon set up a committee that would address the incessant clashes between herdsmen and farmers in the area.
He gave this assertion while speaking to our correspondent in Gwagwalada Area Council, Abuja on the issue of Fulani herdsmen and farmers in the area, tasking the two parties to always live in peace with one another.
The DPO said that the division under his watch would not fold its arms to allow breach of law and order, noting that he would deal decisively with any group attempting to foment trouble.
The chief superintendent of police called on farmers and herdsmen to always channel their grievances to the appropriate authorities for necessary action and warned the residents to stop taking laws into their hands.
