Polls: PDP Reps candidate, LP chairman give INEC pass mark

The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, House of Representatives candidate for Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South Federal Constituency of Enugu State, Engr. Vita Abbah, has lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for a peaceful conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly Election in his area.

Abbah said that everything was working well and that  if what obtained in his polling booth, 009 Ede Nta Ward, Edeoballa, Nsukka local government area was witnessed in other places, it then meant that Nigeria has gotten it right.

The House of Reps hopeful who was yet to cast his vote at the time of filing the report gave INEC a pass mark thus: “INEC has done well.  If what is happening here happens in other places in Nigeria, then Nigeria has gotten it right this time around.”

Asked if they witnessed any security challenge bearing in mind the no election in Biafra land handed down by a faction of IPOB led by Finland-based, Simon Ekpa, Abbah said that they were in a rural setting and did not witness any security challenges.
Similarly, in a WhatsApp chat with state chairman of the Labour Party, LP, Barr. Casmir Agbo, he said that the process was moving on well.
“It is going on well,” he said.

Blueprint observed that in most polling units visited, the process moved on well with a little challenge of the BVAS not working well at first but later everything started working well.

It was also observed that in some polling units, accreditation did not start in time because the INEC officials did not arrive on time.
