Power outage during Ramadan

On behalf of millions of Nigerians, particularly Muslims, I would like to draw the attention of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) to the refusal to provide electricity in this sacred month of Ramadan. The situation is indeed disturbing.

Although Nigerians are making efforts to pay their electricity bills, despite the hardship and difficulties being experienced, the PHCN are not supplying power to the people.
Sadly, Nigerians are lamenting over the poor power supply which is obstructing them from getting ice blocks that could be pleasantly consumed during fasting break. The masses are crying out that the price of ice block has become very expensive which is as a result of the poor power supply by the relevant agency.
Subsequently, as of now, the common man would buy ice block of pure water at the price of N100 per sachet, which before this time the price of pure water ice block was N10. And at the same time, the masses are struggling and wallowing for what they would eat to survive.
Furthermore, if the electricity providers would provide adequate power supply at least, this hardship would be reduced to the barest minimum.

One of the happiest things of every fasting observer after Iftar is to have a very good cold water to drink in order to revert his normal temperature to its proper condition. But how can he get that without having adequate electricity supply?

The minister of power said, “The problem is caused by the collapse of some National integrated Power Plants supplying electricity to the national grid.” But why can’t the federal government find out a way of resolving this issue for the benefit of the fasting Muslims?
