Premier League: Iwobi, other key players that pierced through on transfer deadline day

From Arsenal, Alex Iwobi has signed for Everton for an undisclosed fee after agreeing a five-year deal until the end of June 2024. 

The 23-year-old forward came through Arsenal’s academy before making his first-team debut in October 2015 at the age of 19 and is Everton’s seventh signing of the summer transfer window.

Earlier, Inter Milan confirmed the signing of Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United on a five-year contract for a fee of around £73m.

Also, Kieran Tierney signed for Arsenal from Celtic on Deadline Day for a fee of £25m.

Elsewhere, Tottenham  completed deadline day deals to sign midfielder Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis and defender Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham.

Similarly, Arsenal completed the signing of David Luiz from Chelsea on a two-year deal for a fee of £8m.

Andy Carroll rejoined Newcastle on an initial 12-month contract, eight-and-a-half years after leaving St James’ Park.
