Premier League: Liverpool set for Chelsea battle at Stamford … see kick-off time

Liverpool will be out to record a sixth straight victory when they battle Chelsea inside prestigious Stamford bridge.

The Reds have began the season in the best way possible, racking up a five point lead and cruising past everyone that has come their way.

Attention however switched to Europe in midweek and they were beaten 2-0 by Napoli. It’s nothing to be ashamed off though, as attention returns to fighting for a first ever Premier League crown.

Chelsea were also brought back to earth in midweek following a 1-0 loss to Valencia. This was after a 5-2 win over Wolves which saw Tammy Abraham score a hat trick.

The Blues have remained fragile at the back, so do they have what it takes to stop the rampaging Reds?

West Ham United will entertain Manchester United at the Olympic Stadium. The Hammers are one of six teams with identical records in the early stage of the season, winning two, drawing two and losing one.

Manchester united have the same record having bounced back from defeat to beat Leicester 1-0 last weekend. United have been hit with injuries but could have star man Paul Pogba as well as Anthony Martial back in contention, while Jesse Lingard is available.

Luke Shaw however remains injured. West Ham will be without Arthur Masuaku after the left back was sent off against Aston Villa. With much on the line, this will be a game to watch.

Arsenal will tackle Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners had a weekend to forget, taking a 2-0 halftime lead against Watford only to then blow it away and draw 2-2.

They however picked up a 3-0 win against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday, and will now look to climb up the table. Villa currently lie 17th on the log after just one win and a draw. They grinded out the goalless stalemate at home to West Ham in a game they feel they should have won, but will have it all to do against the Gunners Frontline, and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang in particular.

Without a win so far, Wolves will be hoping it’s their time to shine when they travel to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

While Westham vs Manchester United clash will kick-off 2pm, Chelsea vs Liverpool encounter is billed for 4.30pm (Nigerian time).
