Presidency, politicians charged to terrorism

President Goodluck Jonathan, the security operatives and politicians aspiring for various elective positions and appointments at all levels have been advised to first of all work for the peace and stability of the country rather than heating up the polity ahead of 2015 general elections.

Briefing newsmen yesterday in Abuja, the chairman of Apostle Yohana Margif Foundation, a non- governmental organisation (NGO) with interest in the promotion of peace and political consciousness in the country, Ambassador Yohana Margif, said “Nigeria is passing through most critical moment capable of threatening its existence, which needs collective efforts of all citizens to address.”

Accusing politicians of deliberately causing trouble and distracting the present government by fueling sectional crises across the country, Margif frowned upon the manner in which government handled those crises.
He said: “Government has all the necessary might and machinery to contain any sort of internal conflict but its rather unfortunate that Nigerians are killed daily in their own country by known persons yet nothing is done.”
Condemning the wanton killing of innocent Nigerians by known armed men on daily basis, he wondered why government “is looking the other side while lives are been wasted daily with properties destroyed.”

“The economic strength of those affected dwindling fast with most of their source of livelihood wasted yet government, security agencies and politicians are seems not to be bothered. Then who will be left with what to be part of the 2015 elections that is their dream.
“Why are they mostly concerned on who becomes the next president of Nigeria and not how to end the turmoil, insurgency and poverty in the land? They are not just enemies of progress but enemies if Nigerians,”
