Principal Cup zonal qualifiers: Ruth to represent Kaduna in table tennis



 
As the Northwest Zonal qualifiers of the Principal Cup kicks off, Sadique Abubakar Abdulsalam of Ansar-ud-Deen College and Ruth Ayo of Faith Academy qualified to represent Kaduna state.
Sadique defeated Mustapha Mukhtar of Government Secondary School Doka, while Ruth Ayo defeated Danielle Ashilere also of Faith Academy in the Kaduna state table tennis final of the Principal's Cup. 
Christ Comprehensive College, who won the Kaduna state Principal's Cup  football final defeating eight-man Government Secondary School, Auchan 7-2 in a one sided tie, will also represent Kaduna state in the zonal competition.
In athletics, Elizabeth Alege from Barnawa Baptist, Comfort Sule from GSS Sabon Tasha, Dare Favour from Manna Kiddies Academy and Faith Emmanuel from Foundation Science Secondary School, Zaria will represent Kaduna state in 100m girls.
Bashir Mohammed Habib from Air Force Secondary School, Victor Moses from Manna Kiddies Academy, Agwa Alex and David Sabo both from Faith Academy are to represent Kaduna state in the 100m boys zonal finals.
In the girls 200m, Favour Dare, Happy Rasheed and Elizabeth Aliyu will compete for the state, while for the boys, Bashir Mohammed, Jirayi Beniah and Emmanuel Paul Ezra will represent the state.
In the girls 400m, Comfort Sule from GSS Sabo Tasha, Favour Emmanuel from Foundation Zaria, blessing Joseph and Mary Ango will represent the state at the zonal level, same as Joshua Oriaku, Alexander Samson, Isah Saminu and Farouk Kashim in the boys category.
Others athletes equally qualified for Kaduna state in the javelin and long jump events.
